PROCLAMATION - RECOGNITION OF HARRIET TUBMAN -
Recognizing and honoring Harriet Tubman. Mrs. Tubman was an African-American protester, humanitarian, and Union spy during the Civil War. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made about thirteen missions to rescue approximately seventy enslaved family and friends. In the post war-era, she struggled for women ’s suffrage. The Proclamation will be sent to Ms. Vivian Raheem.
