Recognizing the month of November 2014 as Native American Heritage Month and November 28, 2014, as Native American Heritage Day. Ms. Cara Curtin, Chairwoman of the American Indians Committee will be present to accept the Proclamation.

FACILITIES USE AGREEMENT – BENDIX COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SYSTEMS – RESOLUTION 2014-147 APPROVING A FACILITY USE AGREEMENT WITH BENDIX COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SYSTEMS FOR THEIR USE OF AIRPORT PROPERTY TO CONDUCT A COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING DEMONSTRATION ACTIVITY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the Facilities Use Agreement with Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems for a commercial truck driving demonstration activity on April 12-13, 2015.

ADDITIONAL SEWER AND REFUSE EXEMPTIONS FOR FY 2014/201

ADDITIONAL SEWER AND REFUSE EXEMPTIONS FOR FY 2014/2015 RESOLUTION 2014-148 APPROVING ONE (1) ADDITIONAL APPLICATION FOR CITY SEWER AND REFUSE EXEMPTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves one (1) additional application for exemption of payment for City Sewer and Refuse costs for the months of November 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015.

AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-140 - ARTS AND CULTURE NASSAU MEMBERSHIP – RESOLUTION 2014-149 AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-140 PERTAINING TO ARTS AND CULTURE NASSAU BY AMENDING THE ARTS ORGANIZATIONS REPRESENTED AND NUMBER OF MEMBERS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Amends Resolution 2010-140 as it pertains to the membership of Arts and Culture Nassau.

AWARD OF BID #14-22 - GREENOVATIVE DESIGN & ENGINEERING, LLC – RESOLUTION 2014-150 AWARDING BID #14-22 TO GREENOVATIVE DESIGN & ENGINEERING, LLC FOR THE PURCHASE OF 400 MONOCRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANELS TO BE INSTALLED AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Awards Bid #14-22 to Greenovative Design & Engineering, LLC for the purchase of 400 Monocrystalline Solar Modules/panels for the total amount of $96,352.00.

VEHICLE PURCHASES – VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS – RESOLUTION 2014-152 APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FIVE (5) VEHICLES FOR THE CITY FLEET THROUGH THE FLORIDA SHERIFF’S ASSOCIATION VEHICLE BID AWARD; PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the purchase of five (5) vehicles for the City fleet through the Florida Sheriff’s Association Vehicle Bid Award #14-22-0904.

VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PETITION & WATER/SEWER SERVICES AGREEMENT – SIMMONS ROADRESOLUTION 2014-154 APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICES OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS; ACCEPTING THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PETITION FOR ONE (1) PARCEL TOTALING 4.3 ACRES LOCATED AT SIMMONS ROAD; PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Authorizes the extension of water and sanitary sewer services to Simmons Road and approves the Voluntary Annexation Petition.
