OF JACKSONVILLE, FL FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017 FOR THE STORMWATER DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the award of Bid #16-13 for 12” HDPE DIP DR 11 pipe to Fortiline, Inc. in the amount of $66,961 for FY 2016/2017.
BUDGET AMENDMENT – FINANCING COSTS - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND AND MARINA - RESOLUTION 2016-124 APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2015/2016; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. PURCHASE APPROVAL – DELL – RESOLUTION 2016-126 APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE DELL STORAGE DEVICE FOR $29,743.55 FOR THE IT DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the purchase of one Dell EqualLogic storage unit for $29,743.55 from Dell taking advantage of special discounted pricing.
FY 2016/2017 PURCHASE APPROVAL – CITY VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT – RESOLUTION 2016-127 APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY FLEET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the purchase of vehicles and equipment for the City fleet for Fiscal Year 2016/2017.
ADOPTION OF LOCAL MITIGATION STRATEGY PLAN – RESOLUTION 2016-128 APPROVING THE NASSAU COUNTY LOCAL MITIGATION STRATEGY PLAN; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Approves the Nassau County Local Mitigation Strategy document.
AWARD OF RFP #2016-05 – CARR, RIGGS & INGRAM, LLC - RESOLUTION 2016-129 AWARDING RFP #2016-05 FOR THE FORENSIC INVESTIGATION OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT SPECIAL EVENTS TO CARR, RIGGS & INGRAM, LLC; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Awards RFP #2016-05 for the Forensic Investigation to Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC.
GRANT AGREEMENT APPROVAL – FL DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (FDEP) - RESOLUTION 2016-130 AUTHORIZING A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (FDEP) TO ACCEPT $900,000 AWARD FOR NORTH FLETCHER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS – BASIN C-1 AND C-7 PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Authorizes the City to enter into Agreement No. LP45010 with FDEP in the amount of $900,000 for the North Fletcher Drainage Basin Project, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
SCHOOL SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - CITRONA AVENUE SIDEWALK - RESOLUTION 2016-131 SUPPORTING THE REPLACEMENT OF A DETERIORATING ASPHALT SIDEWALK ON THE WEST SIDE OF CITRONA AVENUE FROM HICKORY STREET TO BEECH STREET WITH A FIVE FOOT WIDE CONCRETE SIDEWALK TO IMPROVE SCHOOL SAFETY AND COMPLY WITH ADA REQUIREMENTS; AUTHORIZES EXECUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Supports the State of Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) proposed project to fund and install a five foot (5’) wide concrete replacement sidewalk along the west side of Citrona Avenue between Hickory Street and Beech Street.

Synopsis: Vacation of the S. 12th Street unopened public right-of-way totaling approximately 865 linear feet between Lime Street and Nectarine Street.
LARGE SCALE FLUM AMENDMENT - LIME AND S. 14TH STREET - ORDINANCE 2016-37 CHANGING THE CITY’S FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 14.94 ACRES OF LAND AND ASSIGNING A FUTURE LAND USE MAP CATEGORY OF HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 7.26 ACRES OF LAND AND GENERAL COMMERCIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 2.0 ACRES OF LAND FROM THE NASSAU COUNTY FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION OF COMMERCIAL INTENSIVE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Synopsis: Amends the Comprehensive Plan to add a new Future Land Use element for the 8th Street Small Area Mixed Use.

Synopsis: Approves and adopts modifications to the Land Development Code pertaining to the 8th Street Small Area.
